Trevor was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He moved to Southern Ontario in 1982, with an undergraduate degree in Geography, to obtain a Master of Landscape Architecture degree at the University of Guelph in 1985. Trevor became a full member of the OALA and the CSLA in 1989 and is a member of the AALA, the APALA and the ASLA. Trevor joined IBI Group as one of two landscape architects in 1987 and he is now the Global Director of UK/Ireland and International relations. He leads the Global Planning, Urban Design and Landscape Architecture practice for the firm, and guides major infrastructure initiatives where place-making is the foundation of creating livable, sustainable and advanced urban environments. Trevor is a leading urban planner and urban designer of international repute and a recognized expert in Urban Design, Master Planning, Transit Oriented Development, Public Private Partnership, and Smart City Planning. 

He has more than 30 years of experience in complex, multi-disciplinary design projects carried out in Canada, United States, Europe, The Middle East, South America and Asia.He promotes the position that Landscape Architects have the training, skillset and commitment to guide urbanization in developed and developing countries around the world. His recent work has been recognized by a number of organizations including; 2017 American Planning Association (APA)—Pierre L’Enfant International Planning Excellence Award—Bhubaneswar Smart City Strategy; 2016 Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP) – Award of Merit – Sustainable Mobility, Transportation and Infrastructure –and Toronto 2015 Pan Am / Parapan Am Games Transportation Plan.
