Sibylle von Knobloch

Sibylle von Knobloch graduated from the landscape architectural program at Toronto Metropolitan University in 1979 and became a full member of the OALA and CSLA in 1985.

As Principal of NAK Design Group Inc. since 1987, Sibylle led the design of projects of varying scales in both the public and private sector.  Her portfolio includes a vast array of urban projects ranging from parks and public plazas to large multi-use developments.  Sibylle’s work embodies innovative design solutions focused on environmentally sensitive and sustainable strategies to improve ecological awareness and promote well-being. Noteworthy projects include Gibson Park (Toronto), Tippet Park (Toronto), Pat Bayly Square (Ajax) and Holly Park (Toronto). In 2022, NAK Design Group joined O2 Planning and Design, and Sibylle, as part of the leadership team, continues to provide landscape architectural and urban design expertise to a broad range of projects across Canada.

Sibylle has received numerous awards and citations for her work throughout the GTA, most notably from the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects and Urban Design Awards from the cities of Toronto, Mississauga, Vaughan and Markham.  In 2023 she received the OALA Carl Borgstrom Award for Service to the Environment. Sibylle has served in various advisory capacities and has been a member of the Toronto Urban Design Review Committee and the Mississauga Urban Design Advisory Panel.
