Peter Kreuk graduated from the University of Guelph with a B.L.A. degree in 1979.  He was accepted as a member of the BCSLA in 1981, CSLA in 1982 and AALA in 2014.  Since graduation, Peter has worked for and subsequently became Principal at Duarante Kreuk Ltd.  During this period he executed a vast array of projects from backyard gardens to master plans for large cities in China.   His reputation as a professional who gets things done, on time, properly constructed, and with integrity, brings a significant amount of credibility to our profession.  Notable projects include :

•    The Pier, North Vancouver
•    Olympic Village, Vancouver – Private Parcels
•    Whistler Village
•    Expo 86, Vancouver

In addition to duties at the office Peter has been actively involved in the community.  He has served on design panels in Delta, Whistler and Vancouver, participated in community advocacy in Mount Pleasant and was an adjunct professor for the UBC Landscape Architecture Program.  Peter has been on the board of Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival since 2010 and Chair from 2015 to present.  He was Director for Park and Tilford Gardens from 1990- 2016 and Member of Vandusen Gardens Building and Grounds Committee from 1996 – 1999.

He was on the BCSLA Board of Directors a number of times, during the eighties serving as member and Chair of the Examining Committee and was President in 1990 and 2002.  Nationally Peter was Chair of the CSLA College of Fellows from 2010 – 2012, a LACF Board Member since 2007 and Treasurer since 2016.
