Year of Investiture:
It has been Estyl Mooney's work at CMHC, more than any other factor, that has been of service to the profession. For more than 15 years, Estyl has personally promoted the use of landscape architects on all CMHC funded projects. He has fought long and hard to ensure that a landscape architect is included on every project of substance that the Corporation undertakes in this region. We believe that his tireless promotion of the profession has resulted in doors being opened to landscape architects in other areas. The mandatory policy of landscape architecture at CMHC has led to a similar policy being adopted by Public Works Canada and a greater incidence of other professionals including landscape architects on their project teams.
