This is a full-time position in our Dundas office, and we offer a compensation package commensurate with experience and qualifications. Virginia Burt leads a team of landscape architects whose inspirations include travel, photography, collaboration with artists, fabricators and nurserymen, art, history, and the beauty of the natural world.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the preparation of accurate and detailed construction drawings
- Design and Project Lead on multiple, complex projects
- Manage and deliver a variety of types of projects
- Generate/coordinate high quality illustrations, 3D renderings, and presentation materials
- Manage Client relationships
- Review and confirm all construction documentation
- Manage and mentor junior staff
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional landscape design experience with preference for those with detailed construction knowledge
- BLA, MLA degree, or College Diploma in Landscape Architecture
- Exceptional design and technical knowledge
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience working with detailed design projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and plant materials
- Demonstrated ability to prepare high-quality design work and design presentations
- Experience using the following computer software; AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Sketch-Up, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite, and Lumion
- OALA accreditation required, and other accreditations are an asset
- Live within a one-hour commute to Dundas
