SMM expanded the project scope (replacement and modernization of Wascana’s irrigation system) with the development of a custom groundcover maintenance “calculator”. This “calculator” provided economic rationale to the design of a landscape approach that reduced the irrigation requirements by converting select areas of groundcover to native and non-invasive drought tolerant species.
