The entire concept and implementation of this campus is articulated around the green promenade, cornerstone of the project that embraces the community through landscape backbone.
This project has been registered as a pilot project for LEED-Neighbourhood Development (ND) because it met high levels of environmentally and socially responsible criteria, and moreover the quality of the project convinced our client to dive into this innovative adventure.
Landscape architects have greatly focused on developing the entire pedestrian and cycling networks to create better human accessibility, which was envisioned to encourage mass transit use and active living (walking, bicycling).
LEED's principles brought Landscape architects to elaborate a natural stormwater management plan, thanks to a tight collaboration with civil engineers, which responded to the challenge of relieving the storm sewer's surcharge, brought by the peak runoff of the mountain's catchment area, as well as recharging naturally at the same time the water table.
