The Kinsmen Park and Area Master Plan process was led by space2place design inc. to create a “place-specific, memorable park environment that is enjoyable for all ages, with a special focus on children’s activities.” The plan arose through a meaningful public process, which identified several key priorities for the park: improved integration of the park across Spadina Crescent, the creation of a destination play experience in the heart of the park, restoration of the riverbank, and the creation of a winter activity hub. Team members included Matthew Woodruff Architecture, Id_a Public Art Consulting, and Associated Engineering.
