Grange Park Revitalization

Grange Park transforms an existing underutilized urban open space into an a versatile and verdant neighbourhood park.

A series of urban rooms are organized around the main circular promenade which surrounds the central civic green.

A playful and interactive set of arcing water jets activate the children's play area located in the east precinct of the site.

Paths and drifts of planting are woven together through the park to support circulation and gathering.

An enclosed off-leash dog area is seamlessly integrated within the existing trees and drifts of planting.

Interactive water jets and sculptural terraced seating work together to create an animated place to gather.

The interactive water jets provide activation on hot summer days and are lit at night as an artful feature in the park.

An intimately scaled space is carved within the Grove to feature Henry Moore's, "Large Two Forms"

Sculptural terraced seating emerges from the gently regraded lawn and provides an overlook to the central green.

A sculptural water feature marks the AGO's new public south entry, creating a celebratory focal point.

Inspired by an artist's studio, the play structures speak to the park's sense of place and its relationship to the AGO.

The gently regraded central lawn and existing trees provide framed views to downtown and the CN Tower.

Drifts of ornamental grasses and perennials create softly veiled spaces within the dappled shade of the "Grove"
