The bridge’s proximity to the downtown core provides a new destination for visitors to the National Capital. It enables an inviting walking route that takes in both sides of the canal, with the bridge and its east approach offering new vantage points for spectacular views of Laurier Bridge, Chateau Laurier, Parliament Buildings and activity on the canal itself – from watercraft in the summer to thousands of skaters during Winterlude.
