A retail strategy identified an opportunity to capitalize on the wealth of food and beverage opportunities in the area and the design created an engaging and versatile urban realm that invites those operations to spill onto the sidewalk. The project incorporates distinctive placemaking elements, including images that tell stories of the local First Nation culture. Particular attention was also given to universal accessibility through a system of visual and tactile cues known as Urban Braille.
