The Alberta Association of Landscape Architects is excited to welcome members from across the province to Edmonton for two days of learning, networking, celebration, and exploration.

The AALA AGM Symposium has become much more than an Annual General Meeting. It is an opportunity to reconnect with colleagues, celebrate the outstanding work of our members, earn Continuing Education (CE/PDU) credits, and experience some of Edmonton's most notable landscape architecture projects.

Park People is delighted to be partnering with World Urban Parks, the global representative body for the urban parks, open space, and recreation sector, to bring this bilingual global gathering to Montreal. The congress will connect more than 450 park professionals, innovators, leaders, and decision-makers from across Canada and the international urban parks community.

The National Tree Seed Centre (NTSC) and Indigenous Seed Collection Program (ISCP) are working together to support ex situ conservation of tree seed, forestry research, and supporting Indigenous led paths to conservation of species of cultural, medicinal, spiritual, and economic importance.  The presentation will outline the work being conducted at the NTSC, covering sampling methodology for conservation seed collections, current genebank status, and collaborations. It will also cover the ISCP, its importance, approaches, and impact with Indigenous communities across the country.

Go back to school this fall with landADAPT

This fall, we're inviting members to make landADAPT part of their back to school routine.

Starting September 8 and running weekly, we'll spotlight one module from the self-paced landADAPT online course per week on social media. Register for the course, work through the modules alongside your CSLA colleagues (approximately 1 hour of training per week), and share your reflections, questions, and the key takeaway messages with us online.

The exhibition brings together global manufacturers, suppliers, designers, and industry professionals to explore the latest innovations in outdoor living, landscape solutions, garden environments, outdoor structures, and innovative solutions for residential and commercial spaces.

Landscape professionals are invited to discover new ideas, connect with international industry experts, and explore emerging trends shaping residential and commercial outdoor spaces.

The Canadian Conservation Institute is hosting an advanced professional development workshop “Crime Prevention Though Environmental Design (CPTED) for Heritage Institutions”. We welcome landscape architects who have worked on, or will be working on a project related to heritage institutions, to apply to join us in Ottawa from November 17 to 19, 2026, to discover how to discourage undesirable activity at heritage institutions and make sure staff and visitors feel safe, while enhancing security for collections.
