Earth and Water
The Water Centre offers a balance of function and beauty, celebrating the reciprocal relation of land and water through the seasons and days.
Groundwork
Dramatic sweeps of drought-tolerant native prairie grasses flank runnels moving water from the roof to the wetlands. Masses of Saskatoons, Poplars and other woody plants depict wind breaks.
Green Roof
The Centre’s maintenance facility roof is a landscape of native flowers and grasses. The roof planting contribute to insulating this part of the building. In the winter the roof assembly insulates the soil and roots from building heat.
