The park programme included: large turf areas against the shoreline; a series of landscaped terraces along the front of the house facing Lake Ontario; large areas of limestone paving and limestone screening pathways; a path through the natural areas with bridges across Shoreacre Creek; thematic gardens with pergolas and site furnishings; decorative-limestone entry gates, fencing and railings; and, a programme for public art installation. The design also included facilitating a major donor programme and system of interpretive signage.
