In 2011, Metrolinx released the Mobility Hub Guidelines, a set of multi-disciplinary guidelines that communicate the mobility hub concept and provide guidance for mobility hub and station planning and development efforts. They represent an innovative and comprehensive tool, organized under nine key objectives in three categories. The Guidelines provide detailed approaches, best practices, case studies, and suggested resources to direct planning and development at these centres of activity that attract opportunities to live, work, and play.
The Guidelines were produced by Metrolinx, the regional transportation agency for the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA), and supported by IBI Group.
