This highly successful and widely embraced project demonstrates a remarkable transformation at one of Toronto‘s waterfront parks. A once degraded and inaccessible urban waterfront now offers a vibrant multi-use promenade, supporting a greater active transportation corridor for downtown Toronto. The project delivered a high level of technical finesse and aesthetic, with keen attention put towards accommodating multiple user groups and meeting consensus among a large body of stakeholders and public participants. Marilyn Bell Park now bestows a waterfront landscape that is not only functional and attractive, but also an iconic and memorable segment of the greater Martin Goodman Trail, Lake Ontario Waterfront Trail and the Toronto Bike Network.
